Urbs Studio Showcase Urban Textile Collection
AUSTIN, Texas – At the intersection of art and design, one will find Urbs Studio: an interdisciplinary design studio and consultancy based in Austin, Texas. Witness the unveiling of Urbs Studios urban textiles at booth #3325 on November 14-15.
Urbs textiles are a visual exploration of urbanist ideals and modern sustainable textile design. The hand printing process produces pieces that are designed to work with bespoke applications showcasing the remnant of human touch and artistry.
“Our textiles are kin to the minimally designed space, carefully crafted but effortlessly beautiful, intended to bring a pop of graphic style to personalize and add a bespoke touch.” Said owner and designer of Urbs Studio Alyson Beaton.
Beaton’s experimental visual style is marked by bold colors, layered details, craft and materiality. She weaves her experiences into visual communication that she hand prints onto natural fabrics.
“To me the city is the ever changing thing, it has so many people and ideas that are constantly overlapping, sometimes for just a short moment in time, making it totally unique. I create prints that are inspired by those moments.” Said Beaton.
Other services offered by Urbs include self-initiated art and design product lines to client work. Projects include: architectural interiors, place-making, exhibition design, printed matter and surface design.
