Lauren Goodman is an artist and designer who’s work embraces responsive approaches to the local environment and the communities that steward and neglect it. Developing pieces from foraged materials and discarded objects, she seeks a less extractive approach to design. Goodman is committed to educating designers on the possibilities of a practice driven by waste reduction and strives to find balance between user, product and environment. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and currently lives and works in Providence, RI.
